THE OPTOMETRIC INSTITUTE RECIEVES GRANT FROM THE JEWISH FUND

The Optometric Institute and Clinic of Detroit was awarded a 75,000.00 grant to be distributed over 2 years by the Jewish Fund., for support of our Medical Eye Program. The Jewish Fund was established in 1997 from the sale proceeds of Sinai Hospital to the Detroit Medical Center. Sinai Hospital was a Jewish community funded facility that grew into one of metropolitan Detroit's top health care institutions. As a legacy of Sinai Hospital, The Jewish Fund continues the tradition of assuring excellent and compassionate care for those in need in Metropolitan Detroit. The grant will help the Optometric Institute continue to provide vision, and medical eye care, to this areas most needy; the uninsured, under insured, and the homeless in our community.

We are truly grateful for the Jewish Fund's generous support.
